Counterfeit Kit Challenge February 2020 Challenge 1 "Mom in 1976"

Hello everyone,

I am here to share with you my (first) layout with challenge 1 Matriarchy. To see more hop over to the Floral Matriarchy Challenge of the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.
This is my mom in 1976, she was 44 years old back then.
She passed away more than 10 years ago, she had a very difficult life because of a chronic illness.
This picture is taken at the appartment of my uncle, who lives in an other part of the country. In the seventies we stayed with him several summer holidays to visit  tourist places in his neighborhood,

I could not find a nice matching background paper for this layout, so I used a kraft paper. I think it stands out nicely against the paper with the roses. I used the mask stencil from my kit to give this layout some balance.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge february 2020 "Elegant roses"

Hello everyone!
Here I am with my version of the Tres Jolie kit that is this month Counterfeit Kit.

I like this kit very, very much and I think that the combination of the colours and the roses gives this kit a luxurious feel. As my inspiration piece I chose a dessinpaper with roses. (upper left).

These are my 12x12 papers:

Embellishments : roses, keys, butterflies

I did some forgery.

The diecuts are made from solid paper and gold foil cardstock.

Vellum with gold foil

Barok style stencil and stamps, paper flowers and  another vellum

Metal keys, doilies, wood veneer, 3d paint and leaf ribbon

It was fun to make this kit. I've also chosen some pictures to do several layouts.
